A good quality George II period mahogany dressing
Table mirror having rectangular plate with gilded
Moulding above well figured base and three frieze
Drawers raised on replaced bracket feet

(Dressing table mirrors, often referred to as "toilet mirrors"
were made from the towards the early 18th century onwards.
Designed to sit atop a dressing table, or chest of drawers, in the
bedroom or dressing room they are found in a huge variety of
sizes, woods, shapes, sizes and qualities. This mirror is a good
colour and patina and although originally designed to sit atop
a dressing table it is of course most versatile, so would suit a variety
of locations around the home. The mirror plate itself is replaced, but
not brand new, meaning there are a few old marks, but it is very much
functional as a dressing mirror.)
