Literature
In 1844 HINDLEY & SONS, rug and floor cloth manufacturers trading from 32 Berners Street, purchased the highly successful cabinet-making firm of Miles & Edwards and moved to their premises at 134 Oxford Street. This gave them the capacity to produce furniture of the highest quality and Hindley & Sons became one of the elite high calibre group of London cabinet-makers with royal appointments who exhibited at the Great Exhibition of 1851
Approval Service
If you are interested in an item of our stock, but you are just not sure
whether or not it will look right in that alcove, or whether or not the colour
matches that chest of drawers you already have, then do not fear... we have
vans regularly traveling throughout the UK and are pleased to offer any
prospective clients our approval service. As long as it has been pre-arranged
with ourselves then we will bring the piece to your home and if it
is not as described or looks totally different to how you imagined then we
will take it away again for you, usually for no charge at all (for long distances
we may require a nominal delivery charge).
