A Delightful George I Period Walnut Bureau Bookcase
Of Diminutive Proportions Having Old Bevelled Mirror
Plate To Single Cabinet Door Enclosing Fitted Interior
With Adjustable Shelves Over Three Long Drawers
Raised On Original Bracket Feet

( A beautiful example of it's type this bureau bookcase
retains a lovely warm colour and has been constructed
from extremely well chosen, highly figured walnut
veneers. The overall size and proportion is rarely found
and it is small enough to fit just about any space or
environment one could begin to imagine. The mirror
plate in the door, whilst probably not original, has certainly
been in situ for a significant portion of the items life and has
therefore aged accordingly. The brass ring handles are not
the originals but are of the style which it would have been
fitted with accordingly and therefore sit nicely on the piece.
Its rare to find the combination of good condition, diminutive
size and relative originality on something of this age of course
and these are hugely desirable qualities.)
